School was very interdisciplinary for me and so is my adulthood, the reason being is because I understand, totally, that you can’t have one side of the brain without the other — life just doesn’t work out that way. The truth to the matter is that I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Interdisciplinary Studies degree, combining psychology classes with creative writing and then minoring in creative writing.

Now, to the average person they would be like “damn, you really wrote a lot, a lot of papers,” and it’s true, I did and I enjoyed what I wrote. In the mean time, let’s talk about why I don’t tell employers that I have a B.I.S. degree even though (in the academic world) having a B.I.S. degree is phenomenal.

The first reason is because many employers are one tract minded, they think all degrees should be one or the other, not both. Most employers, in fact, would rather you give them one…
