I’m not cheating on you Medium.

I’m diversifying my audience and incomes

They always say, if you would like to make it large as a creative you have to have a diverse amount of income streams. I do believe this is true. Now, I’m not cheating on Medium, but I have been spending time over at Vocal. Eventually, I’ll write an article comparing and contrasting the two platforms once I’ve gained enough traction, but I am seeing positive changes happening already. Allow me to give you my top three observations that I’m noticing, since on Medium (alone) I’m only worth $0.96 as of today.

Diverse income streams also means a diverse audience

I’ve been writing non-fiction articles on Medium, consistently throughout the entire month of July which has been helping me to making smarter decisions in terms of accountability, but also feel more empowered to write.

Although I’m only worth close to a dollar on Medium, it’s not to say that I can’t pick up more traction and speed next month. With that, if I start writing on three different platforms now, rotating, then I can expect my audience to be wider and to have a better following which will help me to be worth a little more than $1.
